Introduction to Issue

This special issue of Italica, titled Weaving Media in Modern and Contemporary Italian Poetry, includes contributions by leading emerging scholars working on modern contemporary poetry. Most the articles result from seminar series devoted to intermediality twentieth- twenty-first-century poetry at Department Trinity College Dublin 2022 as part Network (www.weaving-media.com) which was possible thanks support Irish Research Council (IRC) my IRC Government Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship.Poetry's engagement with other media is far a recent phenomenon.
